Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix an Los Angeles native born on November 18th, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was a natural athlete and found her passion for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first time she tried out the sport, she finished 2nd in the 200m race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix completed high school and signed an agreement to Adidas. In 2004 she enrolled in an institution called the University of Southern California, in the area of elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics, in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record running 200m in 22.18 secs. Felix became the world's youngest athlete to win the 200 meters in the Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked among the top three athletes in each of her events.
