Evan Rachel Wood was born September 7, 1987 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her father, Ira David Wood III is a stage actor as well as a writer and director as is her mother, Sara Wood, is an actor as well as acting coach. She is the daughter of Dana Wood, a musician, as well as Ira David Wood III, an actor. Evan and her brothers frequently appeared at Theatre In The Park in Raleigh. Her father started it and is the director-executive. When she was five, she auditioned for the role of Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994).
